Last summer, I was introduced to turmeric lemonade by my good friend, Bree. Since then, I’ve been drinking it regularly and I’ve also been enjoying turmeric lattes at my local coffee shop. TURMERIC LEMONADE:
juice of one lemon
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric (I use a little more)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
dash of black pepper (needed in order to absorb turmeric)
2 drops of lemon essential oil (from spices section of store – not aromatherapy oil)
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (I skip this, but makes it sweeter!)
3 cups filtered water
handful of ice
– add all ingredients to a large mason jar & stir. Enjoy!
