To-Go Energy Snack

Fueling for yoga class used to be a struggle for me. You have to eat at the right time, nothing too heavy, but enough to give you the energy that you need.

With my current class schedule, I’m up early every morning. I'm not ready for my breakfast that early, but my stomach is already growling before I leave my apartment. After one too many hungry mornings, I’ve found something that works for me.

No Bake Energy Bites! You can find all sorts of great recipes online (Pinterest!) – I love these because they are EASY, quick, and you can make a batch to last a few days.

Try a batch and add whatever ingredients you are feeling. My current go-to:

1 cup (dry) oats

2/3 cup coconut flakes

1/2 cup of PB or almond butter

1/2 cup of Trader Joe’s superseed blend

1/3 cup honey

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 scoop vegan chocolate protein

Mix ingredients together (I layer in the honey so it’s easier to blend) and then put in fridge for 10 mins (this makes it easier to form into balls). Once chilled, roll into balls, and viola! Energy for the road!
